Sports field...
Sports such as basketball, football, hockey, handball, volleyball, badminton, short tennis, and dodgeball can easily be played on our flood-lit sports field. Supporters can encourage the players from the balconies or from the wooden strip around the court. If you happen to have forgotten your sports equipment, then just let us know and we will be happy to supply you with what you need for your sports activities.
Sports area....
The area around the hostel has lots to offer, with plenty of open land for all sorts of games, with a play hut, slide, climbing tower etc. Children and teenagers can enjoy playing together and letting off steam without being disturbed here, surrounded by the wonderful local scenery of Salzburger land. No wish is left unfulfilled here.
LOUNGE...
Our chilling lounge with free WLAN is a place where guests can surf the internet and send emails to their heart’s content. There are 2 computers provided for free use. Or, use your own laptop or smartphone to get in contact with those at home. There are also comfortable couches and a flatscreen TV.
DISCO room...
The in-house games / disco / theatre room with its large stage, disco lighting, music system, and large projector screen, complete with projector and DVD/VHS player has plenty of room for letting off steam. Dancing and rocking until late in the evening is no problem at all. This multi-function room can, thanks to its excellent equipment, be used for many different purposes.
Common room...
The common room can be used exactly as you wish. It’s a great place to come together for a game of table tennis or a table football competition. The comfy seating area is ideal for spending relaxed time together and playing games together.
Pure NATUR...
Come and experience the pure nature of the surroundings, on our own farm, at the refreshing water point, the magical fire and barbecue area, the small play hut, and in the huge area around the Steinachhof. The grounds are large enough for everyone to find their own space. Of course, there is also plenty of room in winter for a spontaneous snowball fight or a nice tobogganing party outside the house.
BARBECUE AND FIRE AREA...
On mild summer evenings, what could be nicer than having a barbecue together in our barbecue area. Enjoy making music together, barbecuing, telling ghost stories, or simply chilling. Our magical fire place provides an atmosphere of a scout gathering of ages gone by. Winter is maybe not such a good time for a barbecue, but the fire is lovely to enjoy evenings chatting and drinking punch, playing guitar and enjoying other fireside activities such as building sculptures etc.
PLAY MEADOW...
On the neighbouring meadow (about 10 minutes’ walk) there is some open ground available to our guests, ideal for playing, sunbathing, or whatever takes your fancy. It is also an ideal place to start torchlit walks back to the Steinachhof. We will gladly help you with any necessary organisation.
